Overview

MMP Technologies LLC builds software for licensed cannabis operators. Our products are offered in multiple deployment configurations — on the operator's own devices, on operator-controlled infrastructure, and as a managed service hosted by MMP. The way data is handled depends on the deployment configuration the operator chooses; this policy describes the principles that apply across all configurations.

What we don't do

Our products do not include telemetry, analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs that send usage data anywhere outside the operator's chosen configuration. We do not sell, rent, license, or share operator data with third parties.

Data ownership

Operator data — including weigh events, plant and package records, and operator credentials — belongs to the operator. MMP claims no ownership and does not use it for any purpose other than providing the operator's chosen services.

How data flows

In any deployment, MMP's software is the operator's interface to the Metrc API. The software submits weigh events and other compliance records to Metrc on the operator's behalf using the operator's User API Key paired with the applicable Vendor API Key.

Where operator data resides, and which infrastructure handles it, depends on the deployment configuration. In configurations that involve MMP-operated infrastructure, MMP applies the security and confidentiality obligations described below. In operator-hosted configurations, the operator controls the infrastructure and the data does not flow through MMP systems during normal operation.

Support engagements

If an operator chooses to share data with us during a support engagement, we use it only to resolve the engagement and delete it from our systems when the engagement is closed.

Compliance

As a Metrc integrator, MMP abides by the obligations of the Metrc API Confidentiality & User Agreement and applicable Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency requirements. Specific operational, security, and audit obligations are set forth in that agreement.
